Great to Meet You

I believe therapy should be a space where you can feel comfortable being yourself—without judgment, pressure, or the expectation that you need to have everything figured out. My goal is to create a warm and supportive environment where you feel heard, understood, and respected as we work together toward the changes that matter most to you.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, my professional experience spans community mental health, child welfare, and veteran services. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, life experiences, and circumstances, including adults, veterans and military families, older adults, children, and families.

I have extensive experience supporting veterans and their families with trauma and PTSD, military sexual trauma (MST), readjustment concerns, grief and loss, relationship and family challenges, and major life transitions. My work with individuals and families has also given me a deeper understanding of how our experiences, relationships, and circumstances can continue to influence how we think, feel, and relate to others throughout adulthood.

Today, my practice focuses primarily on adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, grief and loss, stress, relationship concerns, and life transitions.

For clients who desire it, I also welcome the integration of Christian faith and spirituality into therapy in a way that respects your individual beliefs, values, and goals.

My Approach to Therapy

My approach is warm, empowering, collaborative, and solution-focused. I believe meaningful change begins with feeling understood, while also having the support and practical tools needed to move forward.

I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, strengths-based, client-centered, motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed approaches. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, I tailor our work to your individual needs, experiences, strengths, and goals.

Together, we may explore patterns that are contributing to distress, develop healthier ways of coping, build upon the strengths you already possess, and identify practical steps toward meaningful and lasting change.

I believe therapy is most effective when you are actively involved in the process. My role isn't to tell you how to live your life, but to work alongside you as you develop greater insight, strengthen your resilience, and move toward the life and changes that feel meaningful to you.

What You Can Expect

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin understanding what brings you to therapy and what you hope to gain from the experience.

We'll talk about what you're currently experiencing, relevant parts of your history, the strengths and resources you already have, and the areas where you would like additional support.

You don't need to have everything figured out before beginning therapy. Together, we'll identify what feels most important to you and develop goals that are meaningful, realistic, and personal to your needs.

You are always welcome to ask questions, and you can share at a pace that feels comfortable for you. My goal is to provide a supportive environment where you feel heard and understood while we develop a path forward together.
